Corporate History

RiversideLogistics Logo

Riverside Logistics was founded in 1996 by Keith Hamlett and Frank Wood, colleagues in the transportation division of James River Paper Company (today’s Fort James/Georgia Pacific). Incidentally, Riverside first offered their services to James River, who outsourced many of the company’s transportation needs to Wood and Hamlett. As we grew our customer base, we concurrently broadened our services to meet new customers’ various transportation and distribution needs. Today, we offer a full complement of third-party logistics services.

Locations – Strategically located in Richmond, Virginia, Riverside Logistics maintains easy access to the I-95 corridor, as well as the rapidly growing Ports of Virginia in Norfolk and Richmond. Our warehouses are conveniently located just outside of Richmond International Airport, and our central Mid-Atlantic location allows us to reach two-thirds of the US population within one day.
