The team at Riverside Logistics was proud to host a group of students from the College of Business & Economics at Longwood University who are studying Supply Chain Management. The visit offered a valuable, hands-on look at how the Port of Virginia —including the Richmond Marine Terminal (RMT)— partners with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to deliver flexible solutions across a wide range of industries.
This experience highlights the power of collaboration between local businesses and Virginia’s higher education institutions, helping prepare the next generation of supply chain professionals. As Richmond and the Port of Virginia continue to gain recognition as a strategic hub for global logistics, the importance of a skilled, forward-thinking workforce has never been greater.
Longwood University is playing a vital role in developing that talent, equipping students with the knowledge and experience needed to succeed in this mission-critical industry. It was an engaging and rewarding day for all involved, and the team at Riverside Logistics was honored to host these future leaders.
